  • The Careers in Conservation Scholarship Program, sponsored by the NC Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation, is now open for the 2024-2025 academic year!

    The application opened on November 27th, and closes on Friday February 2nd, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

    This scholarship program aims to increase the number of professionals working in the field of natural resource management.

    Scholarships will be awarded to students at NC colleges and universities who are currently enrolled in, or have firm plans to pursue, a college degree in natural resource management or other closely related fields.

    Students can receive up to $1,000 per year, and it is renewable upon re-application.

  • On behalf of the PFLAG Salisbury-Rowan chapter, I am pleased to announce we will be awarding scholarships to local Rowan County high school seniors graduating this school year. The applications are open to any local senior in any Rowan County public, private, and home school, and RCCC Early College students. This is the seventeenth year that scholarships have been offered through the PFLAG Salisbury-Rowan Scholarship Program.

  • SECU FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

    SECU Foundation takes an active role in assisting communities across North Carolina because we believe in “People Helping People®.”

    To support this commitment, the People Helping People scholarship was established to help North Carolina public high school students attend college.

    Eligibility requirements:
    • Current senior at a North Carolina public high school
    • SECU member or eligible for membership through a parent/guardian
    • North Carolina resident and eligible for in-state tuition
    • Accepted to attend one of the 16 UNC system universities as a full-time undergraduate
    • Demonstrated scholastic achievement with a 2.5 or higher unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
    • Exhibited leadership, excellence of character,
    integrity, and community involvement
    • Filed FAFSA as part of the application

  • The Cleveland Elam Memorial Scholarship

    Eligibility:

    1. Minority Male
    2. Minimum GPA 2.5
    3. Plans to attend school for entire academic year beginning in the fall
    4. U.S. Citizen
    5. Picture of yourself (small)
    6. Completed check list
      • Application
      • Official High School Transcript •Letters of Recommendation (2)
       One from a non-related person of        the family
      One from a representative of your High School.

    • Relatives of Goldman Scholarship board members are not eligible to apply.

  • PRE-APPLICATION: E.R. & LILLIAN B. DIMMETTE SCHOLARSHIP

    As you may know, the purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to students in Gaston, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Rowan and Wilkes counties who "fall between the cracks" of other financial aid and/or scholarship programs. Attached are the scholarship guidelines to assist with selecting two students to nominate from your county.

    Eligibility Requirements:


    1.Be nominated by the Superintendent of Schools in their county.


    2. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).


    3. Be legal residents of Gaston, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Rowan or Wilkes County


    4. Demonstrate the substantial need for financial assistance.


    5. Have an SAT score that is equal to or greater than the state average.

    RCEC students interested in applying will need to complete pre-application and turn in to Mrs. Ratlif by February 2nd by 10:00 am.

    Selected applications will then be submitted to the RSS Central office for selection.

  • 2024 Brad Patrick Memorial Scholarship offered through Christiana Lutheran Church. This $3,000 scholarship opportunity is open to all public high school seniors in Rowan County.

    Three finalists will be chosen from the applications and then interviewed to determine the winner. The finalists will be notified by phone prior to conducting interviews confirming the interview date, time and location. The scholarship will be awarded during a church service in May or June at Christiana Lutheran Church.

    Academic achievement, school & community involvement, goals and financial need will be considered in awarding the scholarship.

  • Prestige Student Scholarship Program
    Class of 2024 seniors photographed by Prestige Photography can apply for a scholarship by sharing their Prestige Photography experience in a formal one-page essay. A total of 3 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded between United States and Canada. Essays may be used to promote Prestige Photography. The essay topic is as follows:

    “Tell us what senior year means to you and how your Prestige pictures help celebrate your
    achievements.”

    How do I apply? Simply complete the application form and submit your one-page formal essay. Next, print and mail your application and essay to Prestige College Scholarship Program, Lifetouch National School Studios, Attn: Prestige Marketing, 11000 Viking Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Applications must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2024.

  • The Rowan County law firm Wallace & Graham, PA, through its “Wallace & Graham Gives” initiative, is excited to announce that it will continue its scholarship program launched in 2020 and will again be awarding a total of $10,000 to five deserving Rowan County high school seniors again for the 2023-24 school year. Our committee is seeking applicants who have overcome some significant adversity to achieve excellence in academics and/or leadership during their high school career.

    For more than 40 years, Wallace & Graham has represented clients who are fighting through a major adversity – whether it is having been diagnosed with an aggressive work-related cancer, being badly injured in an auto accident through no fault of their own, or dealing with the death of a loved-one due to the wrongful act of another.   • The Levine Scholars Program seeks outstanding high school seniors who are eager to embark on a transformative college experience.

    Requirements include:

    • Students must be nominated by a high school counselor/college advisor or submit a self-nomination.
    • Students must be applicants for first-year enrollment at UNC Charlotte in an undergraduate program for the fall term immediately following their high school graduation. Note: Students must be admitted to UNC Charlotte to receive a Levine Scholarship.
       
    • Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
       
    • Students must hold an academic record of excellence that reflects intellectual curiosity, demonstrate a sustained commitment to community service and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that elevates fellow students to a higher standard.

    provides a four-year scholarship covering:

    ■ Books and personal expenses

    To be ELEGIBLE for the Park Scholarships

    program, a candidate must:

    ■ Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5

    and/or a minimum weighted GPA of 4.0.

    ■ Be a United States citizen, permanent

    resident of the U.S. or graduating from a

    high school located in the U.S. (regardless

    of citizenship status).

    ■ Apply for fall, first year admission into a

    baccalaureate program at NC State.

  • The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, show exceptional leadership potential and make an impact on their communities through service to others.

    To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, Black/African American and current high school seniors at the time of their application. Current college students are not eligible to apply. Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and have a demonstrated financial need.

  • The Morehead-Cain Foundation seeks motivated, courageous, and inquisitive leaders interested in embracing new and unknown experiences and impacting—positively and profoundly—the people and pursuits that define their lives.

    Financial needs are not considered in making nominations or selections. The Morehead-Cain scholarship is conferred solely on the basis of merit.
